From Nick Wolfe, a pastor I much admire, who happens to also be my cousin.

“Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.  There is no universal way to the Father.  You can’t make your own way or earn your way.  You MUST put your faith in Jesus and believe that God has raised Him from the dead and repent (turn away) from your sins and you will be saved.  There is no magic prayer or poem to read to make this happen.  Salvation is the gracious gift of God that comes by faith.  You have NOTHING to do with salvation because if you did, you would want to boast about it.  You would boast in your prayer, your walk down the aisle, your words, your memory, your calendar and clock.  Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.  We have nothing but Christ.”

This is just a small snippet of the 932 words of true gospel he has written right here.  It is powerful, and beautiful, and inspired.  His words call us all to consider what Salvation means as we approach Easter, the day of resurrection and Christ’s victory over death! No better message to ponder on Good Friday.
